Beginner guitar players will need to have fun playing songs they know, right away. We will help you start making music immediately while at the same time instilling a solid foundation of musicianship and music theory principles.
Advanced guitarists will have more specific needs, which may include learning and mastering a new technique, improving their theory knowledge and visualization of the fretboard, ear-training, or improvising.

Meet Your Guitar Coach
Christian Andersen
With over 13 years of experience as a guitar instructor, and with well over 15,000 lessons taught, Christian Andersen is passionate about coaching guitarists to reach their guitar-playing goals.
Christian started playing at the age of twelve and after only two years, his first guitar teacher said she couldn't teach him anything new, and that he didn't need lessons anymore. Determined to take his playing to the next level, Christian sought out more advanced teachers that could take him further, and he proceeded to learn with a few outstanding instructors before attending college at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.
Upon graduation from MI, Christian started teaching guitar full-time – specializing in rock, metal and shred guitar. Though metal is his forte, Christian also enjoys and is adept at teaching blues, acoustic, and funk guitar styles.
In 2016, Christian was diagnosed with focal dystonia of his left hand—a rare, degenerative neurological condition that impedes on a highly practised skill, like guitar playing—which forced him to start all over and learn to play on a left-handed guitar. After two years of retraining, he developed his skills to the point where he could play at 100% of his previous playing capacity.
Inspired by the rapid progress he made, Christian started AxeFire Guitar Coaching in 2018 to help people get the same streamlined results for their own guitar playing.
Christian's experience and passion for guitar has repeatedly enabled his students to reach their goals, helping them to work through the exact things that they needed to in order to see their greatest progress.

Christian Andersen is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, and has been passionately coaching guitarists since 2008.
